Hi peeps,

With great sadness, I would like to inform you Max has passed away suddenly yesterday, possibly in the early evening.

I do not have the details of the circumstances leading to his death, however, I was informed by the police that by the time he was found floating in the Kennet and Avon Canal by a fellow canal boater, he had been dead for about 4h.

I suspect it was the result of a tragic accident, as the banks of the canal was apparantly very muddy and slippery.

It is early days yet since his death, and I do not have anymore information to provide you. However, I shall keep you posted.

He was the great love of my life, and I miss him dearly. Borda the dog also misses him, and we are keeping each other's spirit up.

Please join me in remembering the ways he has enriched our lives, for better or for worse.

I hope he has gone somewhere that has no speed limit, and is having fun driving around in a fast car! And next to a canal so that he can enjoy a changing scenary every day.

That's all for now.

Regards,

Dora

Oh no this is very sad

My thoughts are with you Dora and the family he left behind. This is a very sad day for SCNM as we've lost a very good friend. If you need to talk or hand with anything you know we are here to help.

As has said above hopefully he has gone to a much better place and having fun.

Max was always so eager to help and one of best memories was our trip to Italy the other year for MINI United. He will be very much missed by us all

Dora do you have any objections to post this up on Mini2? There are so many on there that he has touched their lives.

No, please do. However, please do not expect me to make an appearance etc..., as I shan't!

Dora, I am so very, very sorry to hear this sad news. I was totally shocked when I read this and couldn't stop crying, I had to re read it over again for it to sink in.

Max was a lovely man and so very helpful.

You know where we all are Dora if you need anything at all just ask.

Hugs

Dora I read your words and couldn't believe it!! My thoughts are with you and his family and I'm sure I'm correct in saying that if I or anyone here on the site can help you please just call on us.
I haven't seen Max for ages and I was looking forward to one of his 'quick' runs in the new year. So very sad.

Dora - I am truly very sorry for you and wish you my condolences. Max and I burnt our bridges long ago but I feel for you and the pain you must now be feeling.

Sincere hugs for you, Bob x
